In this article, we dive deeper into the world of show jumping and take an enlightening look at up-and-coming young mares that are already making notable performances at the highest level. Using our thorough analysis of the rankings on Hippomundo, we identify mares that are no more than 10 years old and are already asserting themselves at an impressive level of 1.50m and above.

We take the 'potentials' ranking and filter on mares between 8 and 10 years old that started for the first time at 1.60m level in 2024. Casual DV Z appears to have made the most successful debut at 1.60m level in the Bordeaux World Cup under the saddle of Belgian rider Pieter Devos. She jumped a clear jump-off there and finished in fourth place. Also in Doha, the Cornet Obolensky daughter did not touch a fence in 1.55-160m classes, and most recently in the Saut Hermès Grand Prix in Paris, she finished in 10th place with barely one time fault.

Next we explore the Hippomundo Ratings of 9-year-old mares at 1.60 level, there again it is Casual DV Z who scores highest!

Again Casual DV Z, but Korlenski and Pretty Woman van't Paradijs also stand out!

Finally, we take a look in the ranking of Sport Horses based on their International performance. Here it is again Casual DV Z who tops the list with the highest earnings in International competition. Yet another Cornet Obolensky daughter stands out in all the rankings: Korlenski, a young KWPN mare who under the saddle of Ellen Whitaker took the step to the highest level in the last Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera, culminating in a 2nd place in the CSI4* GP at 1.60m!

BWP mare Pretty Woman van 't Paradijs is another one of those prodigies who at her 1.60m debut immediately jumped to a 2nd place in the CSI5* GP of Amsterdam! Both her mother Sea Coast Monalisa van't Paradijs and grandmother Jeunesse van 't Paradijs are successful sport mares at the highest level and all bred in Belgium by the family Rooms-Vandenbranden.

All of these emerging young mares promise an exciting future for show jumping. At Hippomundo, through our rankings and ratings, we continue to closely monitor how these promising stars continue to evolve at the very highest level!
